My final week of graduate school begins tomorrow, and the world seems rather uncertain.  Starting my own practice, moving beyond school, and starting to treat patients without the guidance of teachers and supervisors--it seems terrifying at times. 

Rather than begin my posts with an article on acupuncture or Chinese medicine (stay tuned!), I decided to ask the I Ching a question about my uncertainty, and how to most reasonably move forward.  As usual the I Ching had something interesting to contribute:  Hexagram 52, mountain over mountain.

Which is interpreted as:

Mountains standing close together:
          The image of Keeping Still.
          Thus the superior man
          Does not permit his thoughts
          To go beyond his situation.
